Change For Balance Productions is set to premiere the short documentary, “Saraswathi,” at the Bel-Air Film Festival on October 14th, 2012. Told through candid interviews with the legend herself, “Saraswathi” is based on the life and teachings of Saraswathi Jois who was the first female to teach both men and women the practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Shot on location in Mysore, India as well as Encinitas, California this short documentary pays homage to not only Saraswathi’s incredible life, but also her beautiful city, and her famous family. Saraswathi is the only daughter of legendary yoga master Sri K. Patthabhi Jois and mother of the current authority in the Ashtanga practice, Sharath Jois.
